North Island Premier Showing Championships
Ridden beautifully by Simone Simpson, Burren Dah Marietta won all her lead up classes & was awarded the 'North Island Premier Champion Newcomer Parkhack Title'. We also entered Marietta in the Open Title Parkhack class and we were thrilled when she placed a credible fourth next to some of NZ's top Open Parkhacks. A surberb effort for this mares first season under saddle.

NZ National Horse & Pony Show
We attended the 'NZ National Horse & Pony Show' in Danniverke for the first time with great sucess. Regal Acclaim of Flaxmill owned by Flaxmill stud was awarded Supreme Led Pony Exhibit shown by Anthony Mountney & Burren Dah Marietta ridden by Simone Simpson won Champion Newcomer Park Hack & Hack and Supreme Newcomer Horse of the show under Australian judge Gina Beck.

Burren Dah Marrietta made her 3rd appearance of the season. We were delighted that she came away with Champion Novice Horse(Park Hacks & Hacks) & also Champion Nerwcomer Horse of the show under judge Claire Simpson. Her next outing will be the National Horse & Pony Show.
Supreme Debut
Our first pony foal 'Regent Park Gossip Girl' made her showing Debut at the 2009 Auckland Arabian Spectacular show. Under International judge Carole Heuchan Gossip Girl came away with Champion foal/yearling, Grand Champion Junior Derivative & Supreme Dervative Exhibit of the show...not a bad debut for this 10 week old girl. A big congratulations to her owner Nicola Leske.

Waikato World Show
We competed at Waikato's World Show on the weeked with great sucess. On Friday In the Led Pony Section 'Stratford Park Royal Gem' imp Aus owned by WFS Riding Ponies went Champion Led Adult Pony and was sashed the NZ Pony Breeders Adult award. 'Regal Acclaim of Flaxmill' owned by Flaxmill Stud was awarded the Reserve Champion Youngstock award under very strong competion. On the Saturday Regent Parks young mare Burren-Dah Marietta won the Novice/ Newcomer Champion Ridden Park Hack award. Marietta has won 5 champions and a supreme undersaddle at only 4 outings undersaddle.
Matamata - Marietta's Open Company Debut
Burren Dah Marietta made her Open Company debut at Matamata A & P Show last Saturday where she won both her classes and was awarded the Champion Newcomer/Novice Park Hack. A fabulous result for this young mare & only her 3rd show undersaddle, Marietta has been undefeated since making her ridden debut.

'Regent Park Gossip Girl'(pend)
We are thrilled to announce the much awaited arrival of our first pony foal ' Regent Park Gossip Girl'. She is every thing we wished for, a beautiful black filly with one white sock and a snip. She is the first foal by our Sec A stallion 'Mahogany Black Ice' x 'Brantia Park Qasar' our imported black mare. This filly has attitude to burn ,beauty and can move. Gossip Girl is going to make a super show horse!

2009 North Island Stallion Parade
We just attended the 2009 NI Stallion Parade on the weekend with great sucsess. It was Burren Dah The Wizards, New Zealand debut where he came away with the 2009 Best Presented Stallion. Both of the boys where received with great enthusiasm & have a number of mares booked to them. Wizard has a record number of mares booked to him for the 09/10 season which are some of NZ's top Show hack mares, riding ponies, Champion Sporthorse mares and HOY winners. A very big thankyou to Ben Thomson, Anna Limmer, Jess & Monique Main, Kelly Mason, my mother Lynn for all of your help and support over the weekend and to all our fantastic sponsors - Hi Form, Bio Groom, Carrington Leathergoods Australia, HorseBrow Diva browbands Australia who continuously support us with their great products and help our team look so good.
Regent Park welcomes Ben Thomson
We welcome Ben Thomson to the Regent Park team. Ben hails from Oxford in the South Island and is no stranger to the show ring where he has ridden and worked extensivley with show horses for most of his life.
Ben has just returned from working with Future Farms in Australia last season. We consider ourselves very lucky to have him on our team.

Supreme Debut
Regent Park Scandalous(Stay Tuned x Arabesque Allusion) made a fantastic showing debut at the North Island All Breeds Foal Show where she came away with Best Presented Hack Foal, 1st Show Hack Foal, Champion Horse/Hack Foal & Supreme Foal of the Show. We were excitied to find out that Scandalous is the first Hack foal to win the Supreme Title since the show started as in the past it has been won by the Pony Champion.

Latest Additions
We have had 2 Riding Ponies join us at Regent Park this May. One is an elegant riding pony mare Regent Park has purchased as a future broodmare but will be campaigned as a ridden pony for the 09/10 season, her sire is a top English Pony stallion who has sired many champion ridden horses & ponies in the UK - she has been unshown to date.
The other is a Riding Pony Stallion from the South Island that will be campaigned this season by Regent Park on behalf of his owners.

Wizard touched down in NZ at 4am on the 6th of April. He has settled in extremely well and is a pleasure to handle. We are so lucky to be able to aquire one of the best Anglo's of our time and cannot wait for the future. Many thanks again to his breeder Jill Gregson and to Kate & Doyle Dertell.

Burren-Dah The Wizard at his final Australian Show was awarded the 2009 Australian Champion Anglo Senior Stallion & Australian Champion Ridden Derivative Stallion against the riding pony, Quarab and other derivaitve stallions. A Fantastic result at his last Australian appearance.

We are very excited to announce that we have purchased the amazing Burren Dah The Wizard. He is an exceptional led and ridden horse being a multi East Coast, Australian, State Title and Royal Champion. He is also proving himself as a super sire with his progeny already multi Champions. We thank Jill Gregson of Burren-Dah Stud in Australia for selling us her precious boy and also to Kate Dertell from Future Farms.
Wizard will make his debut at the 2009 Cambridge Stallion Parade.
Mahogany Black Ice(Apollo)
Apollo made his North Island Debut at the Franklin A & P over the weekend under an Australian judge. He won his stallion class and was awarded Champion Adult purebred welsh exhibit amongst a fine line up of mares.
We have one foal due next season by Apollo to our black purebred arabian mare Brantia Park Qasar. We are very excited about this arabian pony and hope it is black with chrome!!

We have purchased the very succesful 3yr old filly, Burren Dah Narnia. Narnia is by Burren Dah The Wizard x Burren Dah Jackie O & is already a Champion in Australia.

NZAHBS 2008 National Show 2 Contenders - 2 National Titles
Well we made the big trip south to the 2008 NZAHBS National show. We decided not to take Chant our new colt so he will make his first appearance in the 2008/2009 season.
We took two National contenders down and came home with one National Champion and one Reserve National Champion title.
'Burren-Dah Marietta + AU ' won the NZ National Derivative Mare over 148cm title under some really tough competition it was a 'Superstar' top 5 they were all really beautiful mares, I was so proud of my girl as she has not long turned 3yrs and was competing against some beautiful more mature mares. 'Regent Park Integrity 'won the NZ National Reserve Champion Ridden Derivative Mare over 148cm title ridden by Andrea Bank which was a thrill as it was her last show before being retired as a broodmare.
I would like to make a special thanks to Antoinette and Nicci Foster from Hi Form Australia for there great advice, support and of course there fantastic products. Also to Doyle Dertell from Future Farms for doing such a great Job with showing Marietta. To Kelly Mason and Ray Milich for the kind offer of transport to the Nationals ......I couldn't have done the season with out you all!
